You Have a Promise and Mandate from God: 

“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore GO….” Matthew 28:18

The Problem: 

We don't understand our God-given authority, how to grow in that authority, or how to develop our influence.

The Bible tells us Jesus grew in favor with God and man

1. Favor with God- AUTHORITY
2. Favor with man- INFLUENCE

Jesus grew in both of these areas as the ‘Son of man’ in His humanity. This means you must also grow and intentionally develop authority and influence.

You can have favor with God and lack favor with men - This will stop you from moving into your assignments. 

"He taught them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes"

Matthew 7:29

What’s Holding You Back from Getting to Your Next Level?

• They don’t understand their spiritual authority

Developing Influence Requires Your Growth and Skill Set Development

Jesus said, "You are the salt of the earth." Salt creates thirst.  All men need to:

• Learn how to communicate powerfully 
• Possess the ability to establish trust quickly
• Win others over through ethical persuasion

David PRACTICED with his sling as a shepherd for years before God used that skill to launch Him into being a King. He PARTNERED with God through PREPARATION and PRACTICE.

Daniel Had to Learn a NEW Language and Acquire NEW Skills to be Successful In a NEW System. 

Daniel was a servant of the Most High and operated covertly and overtly in a hostile counter-culture.

There is no doubt that Daniel's gifts opened doors for him. Read what is recorded in Daniel 1:4

“...in whom was no defect, who were good-looking, showing intelligence in every branch of wisdom, endowed with understanding and discerning knowledge, and who had ability for serving in the king’s court; 

Daniel had to be trained in the language of business and commerce in Babylon.

“...and he ordered him to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans”

The obstacle for many men is that they are missing the skills to operate at a high level with confidence.

• 🎯 To walk into a room, own their identity and to stand out among a crowd 
• 🎯 To be the man who communicates clearly and is respected by his peers 
• 🎯 To be identified by others for opportunities because of a spirit of excellence

If Daniel had to learn the language of the Chaldeans to fulfill his assignment, Why would you think there are no skills you need to acquire to go where God is calling you to go?
